I’m very impressed they found the will to fight back in a nothing game.
I wish I had a witty pants quote, but I have nothing.
Great game!

Not their most consistent effort, but they pulled it out while playing behind most of the game. Great sign for future adversity.

Agreed, the battle and constant not giving up is something that we'll need in the play-off's. Also nice to see more secondary scoring coming from the team. Hopefully, that will loosen the monkey of Broberg's back and he'll light it up a few more times going forward in his career.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers

I wanted 2 things to happen in that game.
#1 No one important get hurt. Seems like that happened.
#2 Win the game for Ben. That happened.
Job well done.
The Oilers looked like a team who was kind of playing but weren't exactly going balls out which I don't blame them.
A dumb play by Koskinen on the first. I suspect in the playoffs he just hold on to that.
An unlucky bounce on the second goal.
Then another puck bounces over Kulak's stick on another goal. So bounces weren't going the Oilers way. But the Oilers decided we better win for Ben so they did enough to win.
It was nice to see a few players get some round numbers.
Nuge got to 50 pts,
Barrie to 40 pts.
Yamo got his 20th.
Ryan got double digit in goals.
Extra bonus, Broberg got his first NHL goal.

I did not watch all of this one watched the first few mins saw the 2 goals and stepped away. I came back in the last 10, I must say I’m starting to get excited about playoffs. I really belive we have a shot at something special

What is encouraging to me is the Oilers seem to be a team who just keep coming because they believe they can come back in any game.
In a nothing game where the goal I am sure was just not to get hurt, they came out a little flat because they weren't pressing, got an unlucky goal against to go down 2. Teams of old with nothing on the line would have just resound themselves to it wasn't their night and the game wasn't important anyway and quit. They didn't quit.
What I also find encouraging is the Oilers have shown an ability that they can win games against any team without needing their goalie to stand on their heads. All the Oilers need is average goaltending and they will win a lot of games.
