I often forget that Eakins coaches the Ducks.
I hope Tippett gets hired by the Sharks.

Down 2, gross. Wakey wakey boys.
I wonder when Jesse will finally tire of the abuse and hulk up on someone?

It would appear that the 3rd line is doing a lot of the rowing lately, and it can be said Derek Ryan is on a bit of a heater. Nice.

There it is, lol, Jesse damn near flubbed that one. He might have 20 if he was a deadly finisher with Connor this year.
Need line 2 to get something going.

I wonder if the move to the other wing has been a major factor there?
Did he hate Tippett?
Seems like a different player.

Getting minutes and engaged. Maybe that's key to get guys feeling part of the effort.

Could very well be. It is only a few games but the team does look better right now.
I am borderline obsessed watching the TOI and line deployment during the game. It is fascinating how different it is than Tippett.
Tonight Ceci leads all D in TOI. Partially because of the Oilers penalties was to Nurse, and the team has a couple injuries but that is new.
I think he has played well in a steady role most of the year but has sure been thrust to the front in the last week.

I enjoy watching Kane smile at other teams being angry with him. As much as I hate guys like Tkatchuk it is nice having a pest* other teams hate for once.

Jaysus Louie...."little tiny space"? Smitty gave him over a foot.
....and LD shivs the Ducks with a dirty homemade sticker with some spit on it and some boogers, with a twist to boot.

The old "Swarm D" back at work? Must be, because the Ducks are getting a good old-fashioned hiding right now...

Ryan's confidence must have been shattered too. Guy couldn't get through a few shifts before being scored on. And Tippett is really good at making it clear to guys he is done with them.
Nuge has been playing great too of course. First time we have been able to give him quality linemates in a 3rd line role.

Nuge absolutely on fire. It's interesting because he's being asked to lead a line rather than just ride shotgun and he's looking way better than he was as the extra guy with McDavid or Draisaitl.

I bet he would look great on the wing with either of those guys too the way we are playing, but finally having a 3rd line is spectacular too. And good 2-way players on either side of him. Haven't seen such a thing on this team in a long time on a 3rd line.

We likely would have barely played him by now, already chipping away at his confidence. Likely soon would trade him for some 38 year old guy. If that makes you feel better.
