Hot take: Nurse should be suspended for that cross check.

It was really low on the back. Doesn’t look good on the replay.

Nine opportunities to get the puck out. The Oilers play the blue line is hot lava.

Still, the goalie is to blame.

Man. Koskinen looks like he’s dead inside. Kind of a shame that they’re doing this to him but no other choice I guess.

We're on pace for a jersey toss and an interim coach.

Guy spends so much time on his knees, is always deep in the net. Kinda renders being big pointless. The one time he should be down trying to find it through traffic and it goes through his legs. Whos coaching and giving feedback to these guys?

For once... I agree with Hrudey. Koski's mental health is probably absolute trash. I couldn't imagine knowing each time a goal crosses that line, this city wants me gone. He hasn't been good all season... Even at the start, we just managed to score more goals, but if you have any kind of empathy for others, you just feel for him.

Loved the effort by Shore to clear the puck before that 2nd goal *sarcasm*

And loved how determined Looch looked to make sure everyone knew HE was the guy that scored that 2nd goal. Classic Looch. "MEEE" "MEE" "NO, F U, IT WAS MEEEEEEE"

Man. Koskinen looks like he’s dead inside. Kind of a shame that they’re doing this to him but no other choice I guess.

The team has treated him like a disposable player for years. We plays reasonably well whenever smith gets hurt until he’s totally cooked and then is put back on the shelf until next time. He can’t earn playing time, he just hammers pay cheques and waits for old man injuries.

I’ve been pretty callous in my comments on him. Felt genuinely bad and sorry today.

Screened tip with the defense scrambling. That’s a great save if the pick hits him

Tippett is gonna save the season by putting Barrie back on the PP1 when he’s back.

Tip should be fired simply because it took Barrie being injured for Bouch to be on the PP.

So sick of this clown coaching that can never figure anything out except by mistake.

Three nearly identical comments. We’re a damaged fanbase.

In or out of the playoffs, I wonder if Barrie could be traded for picks.

He’s so overripe, Bouchard is starting to bruise. If he doesn’t get the full time PP1 slot soon he will only be good for banana bread.

I don’t mind Barrie on the third pairing and PP2. In fact, he’d be amazing in that role.

Barrie being injured (forcing Bouch on 1st PP) ends up the catalyst for Tippett to end his 13 game losing streak. Remarkable. Not over yet of course.

As much as it isn’t just the goaltending… the goaltending needs to make a bloody save once in a while.

Hockey announcer pet peeve: don’t say the Oilers scored three unanswered and then the flames scored. The flames scoring was the answer.

That was a tough one. Don’t want to blame Koskinen but why is he sliding around on that shot. Get out, get big.

PP to start the 3rd, but for whatever reason it’s tough to get going on the man advantage to start a period.

Not 100% sure what Koskinen's position was for that wrister from the point where he got a push and his momentum carried him so far to his left. Screen I guess. confused2 At least the Oilers are scoring, they'll need 2 or 3 more.

Edit, saw the replay on that goal, have to have a stop there.

Bet Bouch will start scoring like that in time. How many guys on this team could actually hit the net with a shot ~1-2 feet off the ice from long range? Burns was always a king of those goals. The wrist shot floaters through traffic.

Not excusing Kostko though. His technique of trying to see through traffic where he slides around...ugly.

Barrie being injured (forcing Bouch on 1st PP) ends up the catalyst for Tippett to end his 13 game losing streak. Remarkable. Not over yet of course.

It was impossible to have known he might have a bit of success there. There was simply no good reason to even try.
