Per Sportsnet.

Based on his last outing alone, not horrible. But I think he's someone better than the last outing and with Fla coming up, the cupboard is pretty bare. Does Fla put up 6 or 7?

Of course, if your excuse for losing is that your third string goalie wasn't healthy enough then that's a statement in and of itself, isn't it?

Well, to be fair, no one could have expected Smith to be injured too!

And Koskinen to be overused and regress back to his normal, when overused.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Did the exact same storyline happen 2 seasons in a row?

Smith hurt. Kostko plays well for a couple weeks. Spector says Kostko is actually good, nothing to worry about. Kostko gets tired, couple bad games, confidence to zero. Spector says Kostko is bad and blames Chia for everything wrong with the team.

I think the Kostko storyline has replayed itself 4 times now.

Until we get a upgrade on Khabibulin this team will struggle.... wait it's 2022? We're still beating this dead horse? Other then three months when Roloson was out of his mind this team hasn't had a starter I have had faith in since Cujo.

Ahoy Oilfans. Been awhile.

Salo had a pretty good run until the incident.

Hey Baba, nothing has changed in Oilerville.

I always remembered Salo as guy that would play great or fudge the bed utterly. Also seemed prone to the odd epic brain fart at the worst times. Miles ahead of these guys now though. Joseph was incredible. I remember those 2 game 7s in 1997 and 1998. He was just unbeatable. I kinda miss cheering for those heart and soul teams. If this current squad had half their work ethic we would have a cup by now.

Salo was the team MVP for something like six years in a row. I think a lot of people's memories of Salo are really coloured by his last season here when the wheels just completely came off - there was no gradual downward slide for Tommy and Belarus did seem to break him (although I've read that that goal shouldn't have counted due to the shot hitting him in the mask, which theoretically should have stopped play at the time).

Welcome back Baba! It's nice to see a couple familiar faces return...sadly it's not for a Cup run.

It's a shame Belarus couldn't win another game to get a hockey medal that year. They've never won a team sport medal at any Olympics and that was probably their last best chance before the Soviet Union reforms.

He was a really good goalie. He just wasn't a guy I felt really comfortable watching when he played. It could be hit and miss. He was good more often then not though.

but you didn't feel teh same about Joseph? He was either first star or we lost. He just didn't play here as long as Salo.

April 8, 2009, he recorded his 352nd NHL loss, tying Gump Worsley for the NHL record for most losses by a goaltender. a record still held to this day.

He also had 454 wins. Good enough for 7th all time. Yeah I had a good feeling when Cujo was in. Especially if it was a big game. He brought it.
