Script. Big spanking. Down early. One or two end-of-game-moral-booster goals after the other team takes a snooze.
Barrie will have a tough evening.
I expect Broberg to sub in, but wouldn't be surprised to see Lagesson. he isn't as sparkly, but he's been strong positionally.
McDAVID! Oh YEAH Baby!!

How about..
Foegele-McDavid-Hyman
Nuge-Drai-Puljujarvi
Shore-McLeod-Yam
Sceviour-Ryan-Kassian
Nurse-Bouch
Nemo-Ceci
Broberg/Lagesson-Barrie
Hyman can play RW. Move Foegle up, deserves more ice time. Move Yam down. You can swap Yam and Kassian if you want. I want Barrie playing low minutes. I like having Drai and McD driving their own lines 5 v 5.
Bear gets nada.

The expected lineup per Reid Wilkins;
Hyman-McDavid-Puljujarvi
RNH-Draisaitl-Yamamoto
Foegele-McLeod-Kassian
Shore-Ryan-Sceviour
Nurse-Bouchard
Lagesson-Ceci
Niemelainen-Barrie
Koskinen
Reid had McDavid as 1C and 2C but as amazing as it would be to clone McDavid, you don’t do it at the expense of Leon.

Lagesson also hasn’t collected minuses at the same rate as Broberg. I don’t think that’s all on Broberg - I think he was partnered with Russell who’s been an absolute disaster this month for many of them - but still, he might need a bit more seasoning.
It will be interesting to see what the Oilers do given that they demoted Broberg, but they’re no doubt mortally offended by Allan Walsh still.

I would have switched Nemo and Lagger, Nemo with more minutes up with Ceci.. Lagger with Barrie on low minutes.
Yamo is getting too much ice time for what he's producing.. he's already on the PK.. I'd drop him down and find a combo up in the top 6 that can ustilize Foegele.

That said Id also move Nuge, either off pk(which is V tough), off pp(which again, tough) or off the 2nd line (which is easiest) to not inflate his minutes either. I think Yam and Nuge playing a little less would give them a little more success.
Nuge centering a Foegele-Yam combo even may be a good third line. Or Nuge with Kass on either side of McLeod.

I see a lot of people really down on Yamo and giving him a pile of blame for things. I think this is a classic case of Oiler fans picking a whipping boy based on imagination not reality.
Many fans will be amazingly critical on small, skilled guys regardless of what contribution they make while also idolizing plugs who look like they try really hard.
Yamo is 23 and has played 130 games. He has become a decent player. He has become a well above average penalty killer. For those that feel the team needs toughness he digs harder than 3/4 of the other forwards.
If he was 6'1, 200 pounds and a 6th round pick , with the EXACT same contribution, that group of fans would be pushing him as leader material. Calling him a glue guy. Talking about his locker room leadership and how his gritensity is irreplaceable.
Because he is small and a 1st round pick these fans seem to think if a player isn't a point/game all star after a couple seasons they are terrible.
Same goes for RNH but in a a lesser fashion. He seems to get a bit of a pass as one of the group of rebuild 1.0 to remain.
Less than half the forwards are filling a role effectively. Yamo and RNH are filling roles. Everyone would like them to be better but turning the blame to them when you have half a dozen forwards who bring nothing to the table seems like a miss.

Some of this I can agree with. I dont think the team can afford to pull RNH off the PK. When the PP is failing it is the PK that keeps the Oilers in the game a lot of the time.
I would experiment with some other guys on the PP though. Especially when it not doing well. RNH is good on the PP but that unit will run through McDavid and Drai 99% of the time. The other 3 guys have important parts in it but I dont think trying someone else in RNH's spot would be a bad plan.
Make RNH and Yamo killers on the PK and have them focus on that and 2 way hockey 5 V 5. They will never be 2/3'rds of a perfection line like Boston but having a very poor mans version of the defensive capabilities of that line and PK contribution would be huge
