Is Skinner getting the start tonight? Hope so.

Wondering how many uncalled trips on McDavid we'll see right in front of the refs tonight.

Skinner in... we have the power of the Bison King...

In all actuality, you can’t lose to Detroit ad Buffalo on this road trip if you wanna be taken seriously. It truly is a Must Win game.

The Detroit game was no way, shape, or form the fault of Skinner. The team as a whole decided to no-show for 2 periods

Oh definitely agree. Besides his puck handling gaff I thought he was pretty darn solid. Early but definitely could be a competent backup for this team and think he would be a good number 2 behind MAF 😏

But if Smith or Koskinen made that flub and they lost a one-goal game (plus an empty netter), I don't think people would be so forgiving.

I am a big believer though in looking at the whole body of work, not just the highlights (or lowlights as the case may be). Hopefully Tippett is too, and we don't get Koskinen on back to back nights because he had a rest earlier in the week so we're good for the next 10 games now.

Tippett certainly has had no qualms in the past with putting the same goalie in on back-to-back nights. Last year it worked out more than statistically it should which may embolden him more to try it - whether it is wise or not.

We aren’t getting Koskinen on b2b, the team has already announced The Principal gets the start tonight.

Good. Now hopefully he doesn't crap the bed.

Maybe that gaffe was just getting the jitters out of his system, hopefully. He was quite solid after making that mistake.

No Cups

Oilers laid and egg against the wings - but I also thought the Wings looked good. They looked fast and hard on the forecheck. I thought the D looked very responsible and solid goaltending. Stevie Y has created the makings of another great run with this Wings team. (IMO)
