Who needs Russell when you have Barrie?

Yeah, that was...less than stellar defensive play right there.

Skinner looking good so far. That goal’s not on him.

Perlini also looking pretty good. Hard on the forecheck, and a few good chances. I’ve liked most of what I’ve seen from him this year. He should see a bit more ice.

That second and 3rd line look neutered.

Detroit puts in their 1st rounders from 2019 and 2020 and suddenly they are decent. Friggin Yzerman.

Glad Skinner came ready to play. The rest of the team can feel free to wake up any time. Not the first game this season that we've sleep walked through the first period.

Jesse and Yams just missed potting one each, but these slow starts. Not sure why the need for the extra pass all of the time.

Skinner looked decent, although he has Koskinen’s shakes glove hand.

Wasn't able to watch the first but heard Kassian is hurt and won't be back. What happened to him?

Poor Skinner.

And what a clown show by this team. No interest in helping Skinner out tonight. Want to give him the full decade+ of darkness Oilers goalie experience

Went to hit someone against the boards & must have hit awkwardly. Undisclosed lower body injury.

Edit: Holy moly, Jesse got quicker - just smoked those Wings players.

Imagine if we had to watch pulju do stuff like that for another team. What a beast.

What the hell Nurse? Get beat and then drive the guys head into the boards with a crosscheck on the numbers. Be better.

Not understanding how you can hook and slash guys on breakaways without drawing penalties.

Looked like a textbook trip on McDavid there too, but nope.

I’m such a whiny crybaby, but man the reffing sucks.

I truly believe if they would call things by the book, or even close (I.e.- McDavid not being like 200th in penalties drawn) , McDavid could challenge 200 points.
