It's a hometown game for Jujhar Hockey, I just hope they understand where his health is. He's had his brain scrambled twice in 6 weeks. Seems a little quick to bring him back.

I'm just a little worried about the fourth line...Neal & Chiasson haven't looked great at even strength for a while, and Khaira's coming back pretty quick from that concussion.

Supposedly both Haas and Shore are a little banged up. I saw Shore coming off slowly on Saturday so hopefully it's just minor. I would suspect when healthy, Shore for sure would be in.

That makes more sense. Odd otherwise that Haas goes from the guy they elevate to the second line to replace Nugent-Hopkins, and then is out of the lineup 10 days later.

I'm a bit concerned with this one. Hopefully the Plague Rats don't infect any of the Oil boys with the COVID.

Haha - Maybe the Canucks have herd immunity now?

Win and we're in, so it would be nice to just do it with authority tonight. And if Tippett is really considering resting McDavid down the stretch, he may want to hurry up and get to 100 pretty quick. Pull a Sittler tonight, and we're on the way.

Am I the only one that doesn’t want to see JJ back yet? He’s gonna be out to prove he can still hang around. We’re almost locked into playoffs, why rush him?

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

I would definitely sit him out a couple more weeks - but the team is run by a guy fabled for his pain tolerance, and we've seen that that is still part of the DNA. There's not a lot of will to have a guy sit out if he's saying he is ready to go.

Hopefully he doesn't get knocked silly again. I really hope he doesn't bother fighting anyone the rest of the day.

Here is a question that I don't know the answer 2. Khaira got hurt April 19th so 2 weeks today. I believe they do all the base line testing to start the season. So if you do whatever tests they do when an injury happens and he passes and I assume they test him multiple times and he passes with flying colors, how long do you keep him out for? I am sure he is dying to get back in there. You can make whatever roster decision you want but if he keep passing all the tests easily, how long can you justify to him keeping him out? He knows he's a regular so he knows he's not our due to poor play.

I would probably keep him out longer myself but if he's good to go, I don't think you can hold him out indefinitely just because.

If JJ needs help off the ice tonight, someone needs to be fired. No reason to rush a 4th line center back for basically a nothing game.

JJ initially got hurt on March 8th, I think at the time we all thought he was knocked out on his feet. He took about 5 clean shots by Gudbranson. At the time we were all surprised that Khaira was able to stay standing and finish the game :

One week later against the Flames, on March 15th he barely gets tagged by Ritchie and is knocked out. Clearly still suffering from the Gudbranson fight, Flames fans get their “Stanley Cup moment” not realizing they knocked out an already concussed player.

A month after that, April 19th, a hit that Khaira could usually take has him wobbled. He’s been rushed back too quickly and this could jeopardize his season.

The Oilers have pretty much clinched. I’d get him as much rest before the hard hitting playoffs are here.

"Bah Gawd! Would somebody stop the damn draft!"

I would say that, without having to face questions, you could keep him out at least as long as Bouchard has sat.

That's pretty passive aggressive! At the time I wrote that, we hadn't yet heard about those guys being banged up.

I would actually like to see the Oilers call up Benson and Marody from the farm and see them on that line. I'd be fine with demoting Turris and Russell to make room.

Also - I would still sit out Khaira. I stand by it. It's very soon after his second concussion in a row. I don't think there's any good reason to rush him back.
