Was just about to say I feel very comfortable with Smith in net lately and then he fired a grenade over the glass. All being said, he looks comfortable and stable between the pipes.

I don't get it, your 2nd best center should be be playing 2nd line center, your 2nd center is arguably your 2nd most important forward. This is with or without RNH in the lineup, who can play center but obviously not near as well as LD. Still a diminutive 2nd line which might still work on Ottawa but not most teams in the division.

Tippett just wants to see more McDrai goals on Ottawa I think. He better not think he can run 3 junk C's against another team though.

I find myself questioning what Tippett is doing with thos lineup. I am starting to feel the game may have passed him by.

His systems look good, but his in-game management and overall lineup selections often leave you scratching your head.

It seems like the Oil have a hard time just playing even hockey with other teams. They either beat Ottawa and Calgary handily, or get smoked / hang on by a thread and squeak out wins against the other teams.
They get outplayed far too often for my liking.

I dunno about that? 8-0 against a team that every other North Division team has struggled with and we are tied going into the 3rd. I could think of worse scenarios. As long as they keep finding ways to win I could care less how dominant they are on every shift. All teams get outplayed at some point of every game.
Bend, don’t break.

I'm mystified why the 2nd best center isn't playing his position. He's also the best winger when he plays there but I think better for the team at center, and it gives the team some size on the 2nd line. Even if you were small at the other 2 spots, JP would benefit the 2nd line.
I agree with some of the Tippet comments earlier. He might outsmart himself with this stuff.

How is that not a call on Kassian's chance?
This will be the game where Connor and LD are on the ice for all of OT until someone scores.

Kassian screwed into the ice. Looked like a blatant penalty that took away a scoring chance.
Also Turris? He looks very bad. Tippett needs to go full on EA Sports and turn off line change mode and just run the big line.

Sounds like he listened, as the Connor and Drai Show were out there for that last shift. Good job of cycling in the Sens zone again, but no goal this time.

I dunno about the luck thing, as the Oilers have just had the Sens number all season. Seriously, I bet they wish they could have played all of the season's games against them this year.
