I expect the Oilers to win this one. They didn't play well the last time but I chalk that game up was they had been on a long road trip that ended up being way harder due to the Habs covid problems. They get an extra game thrown at them last minute. They were tired, didn't have any juice, coming off 2 emotional OT games against the leafs, they were sick of being locked down in a hotel and just wanted to get the hell out of there.

I think tonight will solidify who I want as a first round opponent, Montreal or Winnipeg.
Sounds crazy with the offensive depth that Winnipeg has and arguably the best goalie in the league, I just haven’t seen many good games against Montreal in the past couple of years. Me no like Habs/Oilers matchup.

I'd prefer Montreal. Winnipeg has been playing pretty freely when they have been playing us, which has allowed 97 & 29 to do their thing, leading to some good results for us. I suspect come playoff time they will resort to hooks, grabs & picks, just like the Leafs did so successfully against us. Winnipeg has the size and speed to play that style, whereas I'm not sure that Montreal does.
Either way, huge game tonight. 8pm start so I actually get to watch it too - woo!

I prefer Montreal just so the media doesn’t get their Montreal - Toronto playoff matchup.

Man I still don’t see an animated gif or clip of when he chirps Matthew Tkachuk after the final buzzer...I tried looking at multiple highlights but they don’t show that clip that I’m looking for.

According to Twitter Eric Stall is in for the Habs. Given where he has played over the years, I havent seen much of him in the last few. I will be interested to see what he has left.
Assuming he plays C it will bring some added size to the middle if nothing else.

Read he’ll be on a line between Drouin and Toffoli.
