The #Oilers have signed defenceman Caleb Jones to a two-year contract extension.
The 2015 fourth-round pick (117th overall) has appeared in 40 @NHL games with Edmonton, recording one goal & eight assists.

Gotta think the plan is for the age of Russell to be over before next season. Hope Jones can take another step next season like Bear has. They must see something they like in his game.

Great contract. That's barely over league minimum which is what he should be making. If Russell with his cap hit being high but actual dollars very low gets moved which I hope, he'd be a perfect 3rd pairing, left shot dman making very little money.
