97 is angry.

Fanbase is angry.

This team will be out of a playoff position before Christmas. I’ve said it numerous times now and I’ll keep saying it bc I truly feel it.

Perfect- I got up early today to watch the Liverpool match, then fell asleep and missed watching the Oilers being exposed as frauds again, so overall, it wasn't the worst sports day for me, though it does suck that the Oilers are frauds. Koski really is starting to show why so many of us wanted Pistol Pete's head before he finally got the can- what an incredibly stupid contract.

No one cares in that organization, so I don’t either. Sucks I have to deal with mouth breathing Leaves fans on the way home from work.
It’s your team Connor. Decide who you play for.

In fairness to Hall, I've wanted to throw a waterbottle at Eakins all season.

Perhaps it's time for Holland to help out Connor McDavid.

Or just keep waiting for Evan Bouchard to save us....

Coverage, again, on goals. Team in front of him needs to be better defensively. Team in front of him also has to be better offensively. Let’s face it. The team just needs to be better.

Powerplay scores again... 50%.
Penalty kill went 0%.

So I mean. Ya. The entire team needs to be better.

Boys will have their first round of the year before the Masters yet again.

Yep, looks like an extended multi-game skid and out of a playoff spot by the start of 2020. Maybe Holland can pull another miracle trade out of his ass to improve the team before that happens....he must still have some more of whatever hallucinogen he used on Treviling in his pocket somewhere...

I blame Smith! Disruptive presence in the room! Maybe they should start talking about playing some team defence in the "room" and then actually go out and try it.
Not like they didn't have chances to score, Leafs goalie had a great game and when he's on is one of the best in the league.

God, this team!

McDavid looked so PO'd after that 3-1 goal, lol.

If Holland is just letting this season ride out, he better have a hell of a summer. Getting close to the point of no return for being able to convince McDavid/Drai to stick around for their careers.

At least they banked some points early on so they were still in the race by US Thanksgiving. Now we face the legacy of dying in December and winless January... We knew they were going to face challenges and they are. We knew they were going to need player moves and they do. We knew goaltending was going to be an issue and it is. We knew the minors weren't strong enough to send up pros and they aren't. So technically, everything is going according to plan. Just trying to figure out what the next step is going to be, because "nothing" is not an option.

I am at a Christmas party tonight, hosted by a Leafs fan. We have bet a bottle of booze on every Leafs/Oilers game since we were barely drinking age. It used to be the cheapest whisky on the shelf.
Now it is a ~$100 bottle of bourbon.
Must win has a different meaning to me in this one...

Oh boy. Definite must win... also brings us 2 points closer to our Oilfans Regina Playoff Party. OFRPP dreams are alive!

(Truly DONT think they get Hall or win this game...)

I have this one set to pvr, will be a couple periods behind tonight.

What a terrible time for them to crap the bed. Surrounded by Leafs fans, terrible game, owe a bottle of booze.

It hasn't gone well vs. the Leafs at Rogers Place. Turns out an offensive team with depth and poor defense beats an a team with an offensive first line, no depth and poor defense.

Oh, believe me, my bourbon bet has made me fully aware.
It was pre Rogers place but a highlight was McDavids rookie season, shortly after McDavid came back from his injury. I was in the building with said Leafs fan when Eberle got a hat trick and McDavid got 5 points. The future seemed so bright....

If it helps, I lost a bottle of wine on the Oilers/Leafs game as well. Stupid Oilers.

Betting on the Oilers has been beaten out of me for years. My guess is that I'm probably down about a dozen 40's of CR lifetime, and half a dozen dinners. Never ever going to even out.

I cant say I feel better adding the two of your losses to mine but I feel less alone. At least we can suffer together!
