It helps that we don't have McLellan as coach now...guy didn't exactly love non-North American players.

Does anyone know if the size that hockeydb lists is accurate? When I googled this guys name, there was an article about the Flyers thinking about bringing him in and they listed he as 6'2, 234lbs. Then hockeydb has him at 6'3, 198.
I have no issues with the Oilers bringing this guy in on a PTO. No risk what so ever. If he blows your socks off, you sign him.

"It's funny to see everyone mentions Anton Burdasov's 114 PIM. Because 104 minutes out of those 114 were game misconducts. 54 minutes for throwing a water bottle near the ref, and two 25 min misconducts for quite heavy hits that could be legal in the NHL"

Nice. He could be a secret weapon against Eakins with his water bottle throwing skillz.

It's official. It's on the Oilers site. Oilers list him at 6'2, 227 lbs. I hope this guy can skate.

Rumour is that skating isn't one of his highlights.. without speed I figure he'll be going back to Ufa.

P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

If he isn't a good skater then it would be a long shot for him to make it but it doesn't hurt to try in my books. On a PTO there is zero risk to the Oilers.

From the outside, this looks like an odd choice to bring in on a PTO.
He was 5th on his team in scoring. If you pro-rate his missed games he would jump to 3rd, but still not very close to his top 2 peers. Who are 1st and 2nd you might ask? Teemu Hartikainen and Linus "I Put the O in HOPE" Omark.

I just read he does NOT speak English.
I guess we will see if the new group is better than the old group with this issue.

Save some time and send him to Karpat now.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Interesting given all the players in camp already. Worth a shot I guess. He can't possibly be as slow as Lucic.

Gregor said on his show that he had visa problems with is why he is late in signing the PTO and getting to camp.

Also big contributors on that team? Philip Larsen and Vladimir Tkachev!

Not sure how reliable NHLe really is, but KHL is the top league for NHLe ratings. And it puts Burdasov as a high 30's point player. Basically a top 6 player going by our depth chart :)

Burdasov released from PTO. I actually thought he looked pretty good, even though he was a little late arriving.

He would only sign a 1 way contract it sounds like, but was willing to still go to the AHL if needed. The org didn't believe he was worth the 1 way deal I guess.
Really wish more depth wingers did stuff this pre-season. I'm not sure I noticed Granlund at any point. Nygard looks like he still has some adjusting to do.
Ah well.

Too bad, I thought he showed some real promise but I suppose there are only so many jobs and they have some other decent candidates to fill them.

Granlund and Haas. Neither noticeable for anything positive, but I might have missed something.
