I’ve been waiting 10 days for this... MUST WIN!
Lots of talk how teams coming out of their bye week have been flat. Couple that with the Oilers in an afternoon game and Philly should have an easy time... But! We have Brandon Manning now

I liked the line combos from yesterday’s practice, the Oilers strength is centre so spread the big three down the middle. I hope Rattie can play a full game on the top line and not get demoted after a few shifts. I feel you’re prone to making more mistakes when you know you have a short leash. I don’t think Lucic will be too much of an anchor for McDavid, he’s been skating a lot better in the new year.
I hope if Klefbom plays it’s no more than 20 mins, ease him in!
I watched the Flames game yesterday and they looked really flat in the first half of the game, they had about the same break as the Oilers. Koskinen has to stand on his head early.
I love early weekend games even though it hasn’t been kind to the Oilers. Thw game is over around 3pm so you still have a day to chug a bottle of vodka like my boy Denzel and numb the pain!

IIRC, Hitchcock had stated it would be up to the player (Klefbom) and the doctors if he would be able to go. Since Hitch came out and said it’s a soreness thing, good on Oscar not pushing it.

You should still watch, there’s some kid on the Oilers named Gonnor McDongle (sp?). He wears #97, he’s really good. Worth to tune in just for him.
