LAST MAN LEON! ✔️ Thanks to your votes, #Oilers fans, Leon Draisaitl is headed to #NHLAllStar in San Jose!
Glad Couture didn't make it.

Great for him!!
The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.
Generally Disappointed.

Good for Leon. He should have been on their to start.
I know the game is in San Jose but I thought it was a joke that Pavelski was named to the team immediately. He's having a good year, 25 goals, 38 pts. But he is 5th in team scoring and on pace for 68 pts. Leon is 2 goals behind him and on pace for 100 pts. How Pavelski was named before Leon is baffling. If the fans of the City hosting wants to ban together to vote in the local team guy, then sure have at it. But he shouldn't have been ahead of Leon initially.

It would be pretty weird for a host city to not have their captain (on pace for 40+ goals) at the ASG.
Clean house or bust

Over a guy who will probably score a similar amount of goals and maybe have almost 40 pts more? Especially when you already have 2 guys on the team.

It really should have been Gio going. Adding so many Sharks really messed things up.
Also, Skinner being added over Point and Marner is just nonsense.

Generally I don't like when Oilers make the all-star game because there's no point to the game and I'd rather the good players have rest to prepare for a playoff push. But whatever, good for Leon, I hope he enjoys his time and has fun.

Oilers have 10 (well, kinda really 9, first game back is 11 AM in Philly) days off at all-star break. Don't really need to worry about the guys going toSJ not being rested.

Well, the Oilers have 9 days off, McDavid and Drai have 6. That's probably fine and won't cause any problems for those two. I think this beliefs comes from when Jason Arnott rushed back from an injury to play in the all-star game and got hurt again.
