Sarcasm on an amazing snipe? I won’t blame Talbot on that one.

I just sat down so I missed the first goal. Came here to see what the thoughts were.

1-1 so far on Talbot's fault or not, I might need to start a poll.

At least it was by an ex Oiler.

Didn’t we get a 1st round pick for him? Well played. Well...

Just found the highlight on twitter

https://twitter.com/Sportsnet/status/1075215129434673154

Good shot but if you look at Talbots left leg he is playing the angle about 6 inches too far wide.

Not a terrible goal but proper fundamentals and that is a much easier one to save.

Since then he has made a couple good saves though.

Perron came in on his left side and fired it from the dot.

Talbot didn’t look 6’4” standing at the top of his blue paint. That’s all I will say.

Downside; we have to assume Maroon will get one so they need to get three minimum to win.

Looks like we're back in Vancouver... Made coverage in our zone all over the place. Benning is such a liability and he's started to join rushes - god help us.

How the refs miss that high stick and then what is a blatant interference on mcdavid is ridiculous...

Dang you and your logic. Perhaps the reverse will occur and we get goals from Rattie and Brodziak. Have to think McDavid is good for one, so there’s our three!

The league frankly doesn’t care about infractions on its stars. Clearly. It’s not just McDavid.

This Oil PP looks like pure horsecrap. Seriously, give Jones a chance on either unit, he at least seems to have better offensive instincts.

That was perfect.

The graphic about JP having one goal on 19 (I think) shots in the last 18 (again, I think games) ad just gone off the screen as he smashed that one home.

You're too nice- the PP is garbage tonight. Stinky smelly garbage. I didn't realize Klef was so important to the first unit and thus depth, and that in itself is depressing.

Rookie move by Jones there: passing to Loo so that he could shoot.

And a powerplay thanks to the failed challenge. As my daughter would say, Boooomskies.

Too bad our powerplay is so anemic

You're too nice- the PP is garbage tonight. Stinky smelly garbage. I didn't realize Klef was so important to the first unit and thus depth, and that in itself is depressing.

As much as he wants to be, Nurse just isn’t the offensive defenceman he could be. At least in when it comes to working the point on the powerplay. Klef has shown flashes and was really starting to come into his own in that right, not to mention OT with 97+29.

The powerplay is as smelly as week old diapers. And it has been for an absurd length of time.

Larsson, please pull your head out of your ass. If you're making dumb passes that lead directly to opportunities like the one the Blues had there, this is going to be a long middle part of the season.... icon_frown

He has struggled heavily so far tonight. I wonder if that shot he took off the ankle early is causing problems as he isn't as dependable as usual.

On the flip side, good game by Nurse so far

I was curious how many he had;

Good news;

- 50% of what he had as a Bruin, in 5 less seasons no less!

I’m loving your contributions to MOGA tonight!

Why, thank you.

I have never been clear, do you folks use MOGA for;
A. Make Oilers great again
B. Make Oilfans great again (as in less negative I assume if this is the case?)

Seriously, get Drai and Nurse off that first PP unit already. Drai has his head up his ass and Nurse just isn't being effective at the point.

Agreed, specifically on Nurse, he doesn't seem to be effective there. The question I have is who do they use?

Garrison and Benning have been on the second unit since the injuries and they are awful.

Like I said earlier, give Jones a shot at the point.

Despite the Blues having the best road PK in the league, yes the Oilers have been horrid on the man advantage.

They are going to lose this game.
