Such a big game. Could be anywhere from tied for 2nd to 5th in the division by the end of the night. Oilers, please don't treat this like a November throwaway. Please show up.

Must win for sure, but I’m not sure how they move higher then 5th in the division even with a win

According to reports on twitter, same lineup as Thursday except Rattie slots in on the wing with Khaira and Spooner.
Zykov not on ice this morning.

So Russell out then...not surprising...someone has to get demoted, and I've barely noticed him when he's been in...

This is about as must win as a must win game can be must win.

Yeah he hadn’t done much. He’s on the ice for practice with Bakersfield already, I saw on twitter.

Vegas was just here 2 weeks ago, on a weekend no less. Weird scheduling. Also, saw on reddit, in 18 games, Chiasson has outscored Lucic in his last 100+. Makes 650k, while Looch making 7+ mill this season. Does Chiarelli even deserve props for this? lol

....looks like no surprises in the Oiler lineup tonight...
https://www.nhl.com/oilers/news/morning-skate-report-oilers- vs-golden-knights/c-302480710
..."Lines at morning skate:
Draisaitl - McDavid - Chiasson
Caggiula - Nugent-Hopkins - Puljujarvi
Lucic - Brodziak - Kassian
Khaira - Spooner - Rattie
Klefbom - Larsson
Nurse - Russell
Gravel - Benning
Koskinen
Talbot"...
....a couple of random thoughts about the defense (and I realize the game on TV doesn't show all the nuances of the defense in a lot of situations but magnifies their mistakes when the opposition
has success against them)...
....Adam Larsson is playing okay, but he seems to be aging pretty fast....seems like all the tough minutes he puts in is wearing him down a lot...
....I'm probably the only one around here who hasn't given up on Matt Benning...I know he is struggling, but the kid looked pretty good a couple of years ago...still time for him to make something of his chances
.....as far as the forwards go, seems to me McDavid is trying as hard as ever and having some success but I think the best is yet to come for him....
....not especially worried about that third line, but they could use a break, as in an ugly or fluky goal....

I have a suspicion that Larsson is still working through a bad back from last year, he looks really stiff out there, bad backs don't just disappear, you manage them, most times they manage you.
Benning. My hats off to you for sticking with Benning, loyalty is a virtue, but to me, he is missing fundamental ingredients, most importantly skating, he looks like he is skating in quicksand, feet go east-west instead of north-south, that Oiler skating coach (Peltier) should be fired for not helping him out for the last 3 years. He's 24, this might be what he is.
McDAVID! Oh YEAH Baby!!
Tic-Tac-Tao!
Keep on Rockin' in the Free World
P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

For me, it isn't even just speed or mobility. It's that he always seems to be the guy that makes a mistake that leads to a goal. Seemingly, every time they run the goal back, Benning is getting turned inside out, or taking the wrong man, or playing in no mans land instead of in proper position.
I wonder if that Pastrnak goal in game 2 really broke his confidance?
