It could just be that they drained their tank just getting to this point. We'll have to see if they have anything left. Miracles might happen....

I’m just going to say it:
McDavid must elevate and bring the cup to Canada…. He has it!

Don't actually like drai being with him now. Honestly would have just given him foegele. Drai is playing way too slow and giving the puck away like crazy. Just a waste of a lot of McDavid ice time.

Get that they want to play together in these moments. But it's not ideal

Drai looks like a shadow of himself. He looks like he doesn't even want to be playing in this game.

You have 3 minutes to tie this up. Get something done, Leon.

This sucks, but still better than a sweep. Gave us at least a little excitement.

Great season for the Oil. Surprising ending, pushing it to 7.

Some of the guys really pushed in this one. One in particular was an absolute train wreck though, almost the whole series. Definitely in this game.

Welp, 5 minutes left in the season. Really more like 3, pull Stu, they get the EN most likely, since we rarely score with the goalie pulled despite the talent.

That wasn’t a choke. They just didn’t have anything left.

Draisatl is broken. McDavid was nowhere near 100% by the end of the run.

Not blaming the refs as they didn’t call much on both sides, but that wasn’t hockey.

I obviously can't speak of first hand experience, but I do think some of it is the moment being too big to handle. As good as our guys are, they have never experienced this kind of pressure. There is no pressure higher that the NHL has to offer than to have to find a way to survive at the end of game 7 of the finals. Our structure on the rush was completely gone, guys were rushing passes to covered guys, dumping in with no pressure.

This team needs to get back here again after this experience. And we need to figure out how to make sure if this comes again, we are getting to try to close out at home.

I can accept inexperienced.

Choke is when everything is in your favour (including experience) and you just screw the pooch.

Yeah, agree there. Getting swept I'd call a choke, because it likely would have been paired with our powerplay doing crap all for 4 games.

This was only having minutes to process the moment and just being overwhelmed by it.

Florida got to experience 3 games of failure and not being able to bring enough to match up to what was needed to close it out. They really had to wait for our team to finally let up a bit to get over the hump.

Needed just a little bit of luck tonight, and got none. Florida got the little bit with drai opening up Rienhart's blade on that 2nd goal shot.
