2nd unit passing with 10 times the confidence of the first unit. Except McLeod who just throws it away

Yeah. First game I would say Canucks were definitely the better team. Very disappointing game from our top guys so far. Hope we see a shame fueled boost in the third.

They look rattled. It's like they weren't expecting to get mugged every time they touch the puck - not sure why that would be a surprise but that's what it looks like.

Simpson still confused how jumping a foot into the air into a player is a penalty. Give us Louie back

The level of interference is ridiculous. People just waterskiing off guys all night. It’s no wonder they’re shocked when the refs call something.

It's great the the refs let a questionable offside go, then missed a too many men call, plus we stop playing to complain, and the big narrative boy of the night with the new baby gets the goal every talking head predicted.

Just kidding. That was damn annoying. And here are Oake and Hrudey to talk more about it.

Has Hyman had the puck on his stick for more than 5 seconds all night?

Oilers need to come out flying with a big effort in the 3rd.

Playing not to lose is scary AF.

Tocchet knows the key to getting away with cross checks, slashes, and dirty hits is to just do it consistently. This is the NHL and there are only so many they will call.

Incidentally this is exactly why physicality and toughness matters because the only actual deterant is the possibility that the other team will do it back.
If you know they wont/can't? Well then you are home free.

Pickard is keeping them in it tonight. The guy is having a hell of a game.

The shot chart is crazy. So many grade A opportunities for the Canucks in this game. Oilers D just can't keep them out of the slot.

I hate the Canucks, but I have to say... they have a hell of a team. They fight hard and take no prisoners.
