Oil are getting calls going our way... refs miss the Gio ‘hockey play’ and are making up for it?

Not to mention the high stick on Oscar that was even noticeable to people walking down Jasper Ave.

We throw possession away so quickly 3v3. Should pay attention to what the flames are doing

Nice to have a fourth forward who can handle the pace of 3v3. It gives the team a lot more options...and Yamamoto's sure been good defensively too.

What? You don't have faith in the guy who doesn't think breakaways are something that he should have?

Bit of a dirty first shot from Monahan if you ask me. Gloves still on for Nugent-Hopkins at the time.
|
Monahan's first fight, so he picks a Lady Byng candidate for his debut (as you'd expect from a pussy) and starts swinging before Nuge even knew he was in a scrap. Nuge would've cleaned him if he saw it coming.
If the refs were on the ball Monahan should've got a 2 for instigator, plus the 2 for the cross check to Nuge's throat that started it all... but that would've meant refs actually being on the ball.

Adam wrote on Wed, 29 January 2020 20:27 | RIdiculous. They let Tkachuk have about three straight slashes and finally call it when Draisaitl gives one back. That's some veteran crappy reffing there...
|
Another example of NHL's refereeing, Turtle slashes LD. then slashes RNH, then slashes LD again ... and Refs take only two off... classic NHL.
After watching the NHL embarrass itself by constantly promoting the Tkchuks all over their All-Star weekend promenade, I'm beginning to realize that the NHL/Bettman/Parros actually consider the Tkchuks as some pathetic type of NHL "royalty", and they get their own rule book. One set of rules for the commoner, and another for the "Royals".

Oscargasm wrote on Wed, 29 January 2020 20:50 | Did. Did Giordano just attempt a knee on knee with Connor!!??
|
Giordano is a douche-bag always has been, knew what he was doing when he blew out McD's knee, pretended it was an accident (great acting job by the way), and then just tried to do it again, 3 games after the last time he tried to take out McD's knees. Someone needs to do a flyby on that bald-headed rat's knees just to make him realize he lives in a glass house, not blow out, just a nice hip check into the boards low, knee high.

How long can that d-bag keep holding onto his image of being a classy player? Dude has a long rap sheet of going for knees already, and he seems to have no interest in stopping. The slower he gets now, the more legs he's gonna have to toss out to catch guys getting around him, or maybe just more jumping into players legs.

Shane Doan kept it up for his entire career. It's only voices shouting into the sky arguing against that paragon of character.

Don’t forget Iginla, he was very versatile : slew foot, elbow, butt end of his stick and the infamous Souray stick-in-the-skates from behind play. He was just like Doan but a better goal scorer
