Can someone explain to me, like I’m 12, why PRuss is playing, again?

Connor and Drai need to step it up soon and put a goal in, because they're going to have to outscore their ability to dig themselves into holes again tonight....

He generates more than PRuss

Yeah but Prussell only plays 4 minutes a game and doesn't waste Draisatl's valuable minutes on ice.

I dont think Kahun drags Drai down much. But for discussion sake who do you put on that line that would help more?

Bouchard having a tough game, loses his stick and gets caught watching as his man flies by him, then he deflects one in top shelf on Koski (who should have had it anyway)

Oh.. Koski makes a save!!! TSN turning pt.

Last replay they just threw up indicates no deflection to me at all.

I didn’t see a deflection either.

2 saves now though!

I think Ennis has been pretty aweful. Archibald would be an interesting combo.
I am def not suggesting Kahun is great but he has been good enough. My main point is that if you sit him and move people around/everyone up a spot the team gets worse on paper.

The depth is not good and outside of a game or two here and there most of them are dead weight.

How many times can we go down 3-0 early in a 10 day span? It's not a great recipe for success.

So basically, these games are serving as a healthy dose of reality to this Oilers team that they are not a Cup contender because they don't have the goaltending and defence to be one. Koski has just been horrid tonight, and the defence in front of him hasn't been much better.

At this point I cant even blame the players for being down/looking disinterested. It is impossible to play proper hockey when the goaltending is this bad.
Every mistake is magnified, players are afraid to do anything knowing that it is (literally) a 50/50 chance it ends up in a goal.

Pathetic but oh so predictable.

No, that would only be rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The Oilers just aren't a good enough team to handle the Laffs because their D/goaltending suck balls. It's really just that simple.

Kostko is putting himself in danger of a punishment from Bobby Burgers. Buyout city!

At least we can extend Smith early then and protect him in the expansion draft.

That man is a hero. If not for his quick thinking getting Chia to extend Kostko before Chia was fired, we would have actually had to put effort into finding a goalie in the summer.

You think we could have found 2 Mike Smiths? Not likely. There is literally only 1 Mike Smith. That plays goaltending in the NHL I mean. Of course there are many other Mike Smith's on Earth.

That wasn't just any goalie that he tricked with that fake...
