Smith is awful. We have two very chaotic goalies.

Still need the two points but I am hoping Nurse is up next to tee off on a Flame. Grab Gio and drag him around the ice on his knees if he has to.

That was a chickenshirt play (hat tip to The Good Place for helping me express my anger and not upset the swear filter. )

When will other teams let us have guys wide open with 5 seconds with the puck in front of their net?

This team still can't play defense.

No doubt. They are having a full melt down over there about ref bias, announcer bias, intermission bias, and thats just the last 5 mins.

One topic they are on and I fully agree with: little Johnny disappearing in big/physical games. Until saw the posts I forgot he was even in the game, silent like farting in church.

https://twitter.com/nielsontsn1260/status/122274524677933875 2?s=21

Here's an article on the suspension. Giordano's comments sound eerily familiar though:

Quote:

“Obviously bad timing by me on the hit. Just a bad play — I didn’t get him, I missed him,” Giordano said of Thursday’s hit on Koivu, explaining that he was trying to squeeze the Wild captain along the boards as he cruised by. “I’m not going after anyone trying to hurt them. I’m just trying to play the one-on-one, and I just felt like I didn’t get there in time and timed the whole play wrong.

“I was surprised that our legs hit like they did,” he added. “I thought originally that I just sort of clipped him and tripped him with my feet. But yeah, you see the different angles and our legs do hit. I was just sliding over. You do that maybe 50 times a game, where you slide over on a guy and you try to close ice. I was trying to close him on the wall, and the result was a bad one and I just hope that he gets back and is playing sooner rather than later.

“You hate to see a guy go down like that.”

It's just unfortunate that he keeps having bad luck with timing on people who are going past him.

The problem is more that he stuck the leg out in the first place. It is a cheap play, IMO worse than the one that caused the knee injury.
After a handful of knee surgeries I am little more sensitive to this than most but a defenseman who is clearly beat and sticks out a leg/knee, even a low hip is the lowest of the low.

lol, you don't have to contact the other players knee with your own knee for a play to be cheap. Laying a solid body part in the path of a players knee is still targeting the knee.

Darcy Tucker used to put his hip into players knees all the time.

Break his friggin wrist I say.

Teach that POS a lesson. I really don’t care about the 2 points. Mission accomplished Calgary. But I want justice if the league isn’t going to serve it. This POS needs a long IR vacation.

Yeah. I’m almost hoping Calgary scores again to put it further out of reach.

The league isn’t going to serve any justice. Just go get it yourselves. It might even be a message to the NHL. Hoping Tippet takes a fine after the game.

Tkachuk is like a distant memory right now angryfire

Or Connor. I hope he drops an F bomb and says something about the bush league he’s playing in.

Oh my. 97 blew by Brodie, yet Brodie didn’t have the impulse for a “hockey play”.

Profound...

The way Drai is playing on this PP, the entire team owes him several hard kicks in the ass.

I don’t think many of us expected that.
