Oh boy, we have to hate Bouch now :(
R i N K Y @RinkyReport
Darren Dreger on The Nielson Show about Formenton: "There were other teams that wanted to sign Alex Formenton: Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights, I was told, had considerable interest in Formenton, and Edmonton. So, Formenton chose Edmonton mostly because of his history with Evan Bouchard. They are really good buddies, and more obviously, the time he spent with D.J. Smith when D.J. was in Ottawa. [...]" #LetsGoOilers #Canes #VegasBorn
We are probably just at the point now that we have to fold the franchise.

Assuming you are speaking a bit tongue-in-cheek. For me, why was Bouchard not coached for these Formenton questions? All questions regarding this pick-up to any coach or player should have been redirected to the guy who procures our players. Feels like Bouchard invited people to find more reasons to dislike him. Bad enough, he gets dumped on for turnovers. Just added more fuel.
Standard response for when asked about Formenton:
"I am here to play hockey and win. If you have questions about signings or trades, feel free to ask Stan".

Yeah, just joking around a bit. I would just say, if Bowman blew over, this will too given enough time. Especially if Formenton ends up a useful player. Right or wrong, that's how things go. Bowman already set a super high bar that he just breezed over somehow.
Calmly shifting focus back to hoping we can avoid the eternal shame of not winning a cup after being gifted a generational player.
