Sounds like we are completely obsessed with getting Cossa from Detroit. He lost his starting spot on his AHL team this season. To be fair the guy that took his spot had crazy stats, but fell off in playoffs. Cossa still didn’t get a second of playoff time as the other guy faltered.
I’m pretty sure our Cossa obsession melted our brains his draft year too. We wanted him so badly we just threw the towel in on what was left when Detroit took him first, making us skillfully dodge picking Wallstedt or Johnston.
So, now we can finally get another former Oil King, when Detroit sees him as disposable. And I suppose we expect this kid to just swoop in and save the day next season. Any guesses how that will turn out?

I keep seeing chatter that this is done, and the tandem next year will be Jarry (who completely flopped last year) and Cossa (who lost his job last year in the AHL and who only has ONE NHL game to his name). That seems incredibly risky for a really important year.
