Saw something just before the WCF started a youtube headline and I'm not sure which channel it was on, but they were claiming that Mackinnon was about to become the best player in the NHL and World.... I think this series dismantles that narative.
As up and down as we were, I feared for us playing the Avs, but I'm convinced we'd have beat the Knights had we got through the Ducks and we may have stood a chance to got for another SC final.
It's time to look at the 3 teams in and admit that I don't want any of them to win, but if I have to support for one it's probably the Habs.

Saw some of the GB games in the WC.. put up some good efforts.. had an ex-Oiler Perlini.. but looks like they're getting relegated though, along with Italy.. at least they made the tourney.. 👍🏻

Just to correct you, the Perlini is Brett, Brendon's brother. Showing my age, but I saw the dad play over in Britain back in the day. Whilst both were eligible to play for Canada and GB, Brendon chose Canada and Brett GB.
GB are down, we are too good for the tier below the World Championships, but not good enough for the World Championships. I say that a lot of the stalwarts of the team have retired from international duty this year, so we'll see what the replacements can do next year. The problem we have at the Worlds is that we play better teams obviously, but we collapse so deep the netminder doesn't see the shot or the puck till it's in the net. We could do with a NHL coach to just help out at that level.
In other off topic for the thead news my local hockey team have been ejected from the home rink they were in, as they have some how managed to strike a deal to return to the original home arena in city centre Manchester. So once more we have a hockey team playing in an arena with a top capacity for hockey of just over 17,000.... It's going to look bare with around 5,000 in though
