Carter Hart is the big story.. and difference.. this post season for Vegas.. its not that clown Tortarella.. Hart is a great goalie.. and Vegas got him for free.
I hope Vegas signs Torts long term for big.
Vegas's 3rd goal should have been a PP for Avs.. Kolasar knocks down Manson from behind at the blue line..takes him out of the play and gets a 2 on 1.. puts in the loose puck for the 3-3 tie.
That is peanlty all day every day.. everyone saw it created a clear out numbered scoring chance.. two refs ignore it.. both should be fired.
Makr is like 60%.. now McKinnon took a puck to the knee.. can barely skate .. looing like Vegas is going for the final.
Going to be some interesting questions asked, and decisions made, in Denver this post season..
They might be bidding on Cassidy as well.

Vegas is an extremely well managed team. They play the heel and all, but there's no denying their ability to stay very competitive by making unpopular decisions. I would love to be managed by a creative group that can find ways to circumvent the cap and build banger after banger. I'm too lazy to do the research, but they gotta be the most (or close to) successful expansion team in recent pro sports history. Can't call it luck at this point.
It's funny how we'll cheer for a team that signs controversial players like Kane and Perry while hiring Bowman of all people to manage the team, but somehow turns its nose up at Carter Hart. It's laughable at this point.

Do absolutely everything you can to be as competitive as possible every season, and good things can happen. What a concept.
Vegas won their cup in 2023 because Holland was complacent at the deadline and didn't use a layup of Kane's wrist being sliced opened and Yams brains being totally scrambled to add an extra 8M+ of players at the deadline using LTIR. And they also got lucky with Florida being horribly injured through their lineup in the finals. Boom, cup win.
Now they fired their coach at almost a record lateness into the season for a never ending coach bump, plus picked up a pariah goalie that most teams were scared to touch that is playing out of his mind with perfect timing. And now they get the Avs with injuries to their top 2 players to stomp on for another trip to the finals against what will likely be a very inferior opponent, either Montreal riding crazy luck that can easily run out at any moment, and Carolina that sucks against any team that actually plays them hard physically.
No Torts and no Hart and they could have just missed the playoffs. Instead now they get the red sea parting in front of them all the way to a golden chance at the cup. While we were scared to find a goalie last summer and tried to make up for it with one of the most disastrous panic trades of the last decade, and also scared to touch our very obviously tuned out coaching staff all year for some unknown reason (aside from how we stupidly gave a 3 year extension early, right before Knob was hitting the time period where we tuned out the last 2 coaches)

Well goodbye Avalanche.. best team in the regular season.. most goals for.. least goals against.. all means nada.. same result as the Oilers.. not SC champ.
Suspect Carter Hart would win the Conn Smyth if voting ended today.. Vegas has no business going this far.. riding the goalie.. kinda like Montreal with Dobes.
