I think O'Reilly will be tested when he has to skate at NHL level.. I rember watching the Penticton Prospects a couple years ago when O'Reilly and Nichol were drafted.. I though Nichol was teh best skater of the forwards.. he was on every puck.. O'Reilly strained to keep up.. so maybe Howard turns out better.. next year will tell a lot..
A smaller player can do well in the NHL but he needs to have above average speed and a high-focus competitive intensity.. like a Koneckny with Phillie (5'-10", 192lbs) .. he doesn't let his size limit him in effectiveness.
Howard is 5'-10" and 180 lbs..
Savoie is the same size.. 5'-10" and 180 lbs
