Just pissing away more picks. This one has to be from what 2029, because we’ve traded all the rest? Is this guy even going to move needle at all, or is this just another Frederick?

We traded away a guy who might be in the NHL in 5-6 years for a guy that can help us now. This isn't a great year, and it probably isn't going to change our fate, but if we stop trying then we all may as well stop caring about the Oilers at all.

Its a solid move for a guy thats a rental, with no cap going into next season. At worse it's a move that's not great but not bad either.
And The Oilers need to win now while they still have McDavid under contract because they're is no guarantee he will resign with the club after 2028?
