Makes no sense to get rid of Knoblauch, however I think Mark Stuart needs to go back to being the assistant to the assistant. Our defensive organization seems faulty and trying to make this group offensive when 2/3 aren't defensively responsible and you're begging for breakaways and defensive breakdowns.
No, Stuart has to go and we need to beg Coffey to come back behind the bench and then find a legit Defensive coach that Coffey has a hand in picking to hold this motely crew accountable.
Purely conjecture here but there was rumours last year that Coffey often butted heads with Knoblauch behind the scenes and that Coffey can't stand for long periods which I can sympathize but that said, he's been the only one to structure our D in such a way they weren't a laughing stock and helped Nurse a great deal.
Knob needs to stop running to 97 and 29 every freaking moment. He needs to trust is bottom 6 or get Bowman to find better pairs. Coffey cleans up the D and our powerplay seems okay - for now.
The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.
Generally Disappointed.
