Sounds like Panarin dug his feet in and would only accept a trade to LA. Have always seen comments around him that he only wants to play in big cities and live the big city life. So possible that New York and LA are the only places he's actually willing to play if he gets to choose.

Apparently Panarin's agent wanted min. 4- 5 year extension with every other team that they considered.. LA was the only one that they considered only a two year .. so .. if that's the case I'm glad Oilers didn't get him and then extend for 10 to 11 x 5 years.. if Oilers were even on the list of contenders..

So basically an extra $33M commitment to make up for your city not letting him party as well as he can in New York or LA. No thanks. That would have taken him to 40 years old.
