Samanski has the speed and smarts to play with the big club. One thing that I noticed is that he could keep up and he seemed to have a knack for playing good positional hockey. He's like Savoie in that regard, but a better skater than 22.

Howard and Hutson both seemed like they were chasing the play all the time. They need more seasoning to understand that they can't take over in the NHL the way that they can in the AHL. They won't be dictating up here... they have to anticipate and intercept.

Samanski and Savoie appear to have a better understanding of that.
