Canada loses to Czechia for the 3rd year in a row in the elimination round.
Time to re-examine how they pick the team.
Also havenβt liked the attitude of these kids. McKenna trying to leave the ice before the post game ceremonies, forgetting to shake Czechs hands in the first game, the captains stick tap after the empty netter. Looking like brats.

I didn't know a lot of these players before the team was announced.. but it is clear that Hockey Canada was not using speed and quickness as a top selection criteria.. like the Oilers .. team canada's forecheck did not exist.. and the defencemen could not carry the puck out.. in fact the entire team didn't have more than 3 or 4 guys who were legit puck carriers.. they got washing-machined in their own zone on a regular basis becaus ethey couldn't get the puck out and kept losing possession..
A lot of those drafted prospects will have dropped in ranking after this.. and even the draft eligible.. like McKenna.. he was not standing out as expected.. maybe going to the NCAA is not the best idea for a draft pick ...
Oh well.. flush that team... never want to see the "Bedouin type" on the team again.. the classic "Maxim Comtois" selection from teams past ..
Maybe Verhoeff comes back next year and they actually let him play.. Mckenna can play next year.. hopefully he gets bigger, stronger and isn't playing NHL..
