Wasting periods where Skinner is playing well is pretty dumb by this team. Especially against a garbage team. A garbage team that embarrassed them earlier this season already. No pride. No killer instinct. Just waiting until the game looks out of reach and the other team starts to hang back to put a little effort in. Then back to slacking off in OT.

I didn't watch most of the game, but when OT started it looked like those guys were exhausted. I was wondering why Knobloch didn't start the OT line 2 for a minute.

Yeah, likely they were. The common theme for this team for years now, at the game and season level.
It's starting to look like we are on pace for our typical year. Have to burn all our good players out right until game 82 to stay in the hunt for a decent playoff position. Oh, plus the olympic break in there to add even more games to our best players.
