To bridge off this I was excited to see the Oilers this season, McDavid's goodwill to the team and by extension the city. the play of new players in Howard and Savoie... and it all just fizzled away by nonchalant play uninsipired effort.
It affected my watching habits, and I think I'm being less of a fan of hockey as a result. That's kinda of alarming to admit that.

I do try to keep reminding myself that we are currently living in the "good times". There's as very real (and high imo) probability that McDavid is gone in 3 years. We should be enjoying this while we can because it's probably the last time in our lifetimes that we'll have so many dominant players on our team simultaneously.
That said, I only watch one full game a week and just the youtube highlights for the others. I'm tired of all the stink
