Apparently (according to the beer leaguers explanation to the Oilers) the high sticking rule was changed (presumably last night after the second period). It's now discretionary and the refs are able to call 4 or 2 depending on their assessment of if the player is bleeding a lot or not really that much. I'll be floored if we ever see this go the other way or really if we ever see it again period.

NHL referees are like jazz artists man.. its a very unique art form..
