It's not an agreement. It's a registered charity. That charity raises funds and theoretically spends the money either supporting other charities (such as the volunteer group who sells the 50/50s in the building each night) or on other charitable things - what exactly I don't know and am not going to go look up.

They have admin costs - there may be some salaries for people who's jobs are all EOCF-related, they may have some office space, there's a cost to running the online piece, they need to get paper for the machines, etc.

On top of the admin costs, they have this 3rd party owned by Katz who is invoicing the charity for something - image costs, apparently being part of that.

So Katz created the charity, ramped up the fundraising to astronomical numbers and set up a company that leeches a bunch of the money - that COULD be used to do more charitable things or support more other charities - and I would guess if you look at that entity closely, it's making a killing on their bottom line. It's sophisticated, but it's basically the equivalent of stealing bread out of the mouths of orphans.

And what's more - because of his wealth and influence, none of the major newspapers or media companies are really reporting on the story - which means that this will all be forgotten in a couple of weeks.

Maybe he'll go full LA Clippers and try to convince McDavid to re-sign and he'll get a piece of Win50?
