Agree.. there is a lot of "future potential" calculated into that contract.. but if they did a bridge for lower.. then they are thinking the probability is higher than 50/50 they might be coughing up Lane Hutson or Harley money in two years.. easier to solve today's problem and forget about its impact on tomorrow's..

This increase in team cap is not going to help a lot of teams in the end.. unless you have your best players already locked up for 6+ years for a lower amount.. like a Draisatl.. and now most recently our very own Bouchard..

Kinda like lowering interest rates and expecting more people will be able to buy a house..
