Reading an article about potential coaching changes and read this.
“Goalie coach Dustin Schwartz has now been with the Oilers for over ten years, and is up for yet another contract. Gregor didn't even lean towards speculating Schwartz could be let go, so it seems like he could be brought back. Hiring any other goalie coach and getting a new voice in the room could be beneficial at this point, but the Oilers love Schwartz.”

Some organizations value “loyalty” over merit. Because there’s no merit to keeping Schwartz given the track record of our goalies in his term.
Also the Oilers seem to have a love for defending organizational people that the fans and stats and wins/loses universally agree should be canned.
In any other professional sports team with this track record… he would have been gone a long time ago. Oilers are just smarter than all of them.

If they love the guy that much then promote him. Must be a fancy title with more money that could him away from our crease.
