We all know how broken and fall short the Oilers organization has been for decades.
I'm already at the point where I feel more that this guy needs an opportunity with the proper support.
And maybe that's something Oilers ownership and management are incapable of.
We knew the team has specific failure points from last year's SCF, and this year they walked in with the same failure points. If not weaker overall.
... as Bowman is in negotiation with Frederic (a 20-30 point forward) for $4 million for 8 years. Holloway was $2.29 million for 2 years, and got 63 points with the Blues.

But yeah hopefully he re-signs. But I'm also hoping that he somehow forces ownership and management to actually address what our needs are for the next step.

I’ll still never understand letting Holloway go. Broberg I would have liked to keep, but you can argue that one. But Holloway? At $2 and change? Insane. And that happened last year after we spent our time signing a bunch of older players and left them exposed.
And now we’re talking about signing Frederic not only for 8 years, but at an eye popping $4m per? I thought he was the most invisible guy on the entire roster. The only thing that I remember about him is him getting cross checked in the mouth. He brought nothing. And THIS is the guy we must sign right away, for 8 years to boot? 🤔
Anyway - hope we can drop some dead weight and get Bouchard and McDavid signed. But right now I’m not as confident in that happening as I was 4 days ago.
