Both with his skating and his passing - we all know he's not Larry Robinson in his own end, but his poise and skill allows us to get out of zone with speed and most importantly possession. Hope they keep it up.

Really well executed game after a bit of a sluggish start. And even the second half of the first period I felt like the Oilers were putting on a master class in shot suppression. Vegas had most of their shots in the first half of that period. Hopefully we can keep that up in Game 2.

I would still love for a few games of .900 goaltending, but Pickard was good enough in this one, and if we can keep the shot count against low while dominating puck possession, we're in a good spot.
