Kings let that one get away. What a huge error by their coach on that challenge. Nice to see them finally show weakness.
Hopefully a big turning point! Let’s get the next one.

I liked the coach rolling the dice on the goalie interference call. If the league decides to rule in favor of the Kings, which is always possible, the series could have been won right then and there.

I agree. I’ve seen a lot more/less to screw the Oilers. Kessler prying open Talbot’s pads, all good. Forget who it was skating across the ice not in the crease, goalie stuck his glove hand out (which our play rubbed on the way by), yup - goaltender interference.
So like you say - they risked game 3 for at best a 50/50 challenge, but if it goes their way, maybe that is series over.

Seemed more like a 1/100 challenge. There was nothing there. Were they just hoping all the conspiracies were true and the league wanted the kings to win no matter what? That would have been the 1 out of 100 I guess.
How many times in the series did the kings quickly score back on us after the game was tied? I would have had a little more confidence in my group. Instead he kneecapped them.

1/100...but it was Evander Kane and that's why he made the challenge. The odds of Kane getting any benefit of the doubt in that situation bumps the odds of a successful challenge to at least 50/50. If its any other oiler no chance they challenge.

I think this league is ridiculous, but I’m not sure if they would go to those lengths to make it clear to the whole world. There was nothing to grab onto in that replay. He’s pushed into the crease. Slight skate touch but it had zero affect on the goalie. The goalie then jumps completely away from Kane for a desperation save attempt and is just lying on the ice untouched by anyone and the puck bounces around 5 times before being shot in.

You said it yourself, he was in the crease. The skate touched the goalie. The goalie reacted (and could never reset). The league is intentionally opaque about this stuff because it's impossible to make tight enough rules to cover all things that could happen in a hockey game.
It was a 25/100 challenge. The biggest factor, if you believe the NHL fully manages games and seasons, is their want for a 5th game over McDavid being eliminated in 4.
Please do not feed the bears. Feeding the bears creates a dependent population unable to survive on their own. Bears.
