Jeez, Walman 3rd pair now? Klingberg 1st pair. I know people didn't like his cap hit, but watched Fowler play like an all situation top pair D last night, which he's done since the second he joined the Blues, basically saving their season. Lames are in the playoffs instead without that add.
A 2nd round pick for a 1st pair D at $4M with 1 more year left on his contract. Blues just robbing teams this season. Walman who costed a 1st is getting crushed so far in his first real playoff experience.
Oh well though, we're used to just wasting McDavid and Drai's careers.

That basically a capped out roster too. Maybe ~1.5M below the cap on our roster if we exclude Ekholm.
Barely functional D group that the coach is just throwing crap at a wall to figure out how to ice. Just completely out of sorts, yet we still have our highest paid D at 9.25M in the lineup. And Ek didn't even play to his capability this year either while healthy. Just a mess all year with this D group (Fire Coffey??)
No starting goalie that you can consistently rely on.
A forward group that formed almost no chemistry this season, basically relying on 2 guys, who should me be making ~10M more than they do now in a couple years.
All for the bargain cost of 86.5M (again, excluding Ek to be kind)
It's crazy 10 years into the McDavid age this is what we're looking at.
