Is it time to start asking why these players are being allowed to play when they obviously aren't ready? That's Elkholm, Draisaitl and now it looks like Frederik that have come back too early.
You could argue Skinner too if you counted the concussion spotter game.

I do really question the Frederic start when he clearly got hurt again on the first shift. Came back and continued to play, but laboured.
Was listening to much of the game on the radio and Stauffer clearly going full man-crush on Frederic...although if he's damaged goods, I don't know how much we're going to get out of him. Hopefully this doesn't end up another Mike Green situation.
Seems like maybe a bit of a fail on the scouting/medical side of things too. I thought we gave up a pretty high price for him when we thought he would actually play soon!
Speaking of which, has there been any sightings of that big injured defenceman we traded for earlier in the year? Or is he still on the shelf too?
My biggest concern with this game was that the Oilers just didn't seem dangerous at all all afternoon. The Kings controlled the play, and the team barely had any great chances on Kuemper. It's as if the coach still had them play the same style where they just wait for McDavid and Draisaitl to win it for them...but without that cavalry ever coming.
Would be good to see a little more attack out of this team so that it's not completely reliant on those guys going nuclear to advance in the playoffs.
