I sometimes wonder if the Skinner critics watch the game or just the boxscores. No goalie had a chance on goals #1 or #3 and #2, well, hard to stop a shot if you never see it. Meanwhile at the other end, our shooters kept hitting Thompson. Despite facing twice the number of shots, I wouldn't exactly say we were "goalied" in that game. More like our shooters failed us.

Goals one and three fine. Especially goal one zero chance
Goal two needs to be stopped. Stop defending that. He didn't see it??? Ok cool. That's not an excuse. He wasn't screen. He had a clear path to the puck. That is a save any goaltender should and would make. Make that save and we win. Sometimes you need your goalie to make a huge save. Skinner didn't do that last night.
I am neither a critic or supporter. I give credit where credit is due. Go look through some of my last posts. I give him tons of credit. But guess what, when he let's in a stinker like the second goal he is due for criticism.
He didn't have much work last night. Oilers massively out played Washington. They had 4 shots the firsr period and only 14 the entire game. Goal two is a must save and that was the difference. Skinner for sure holds his part of the blame in that loss. Save that and we at least get a point and good chance get a win.
