Not sure if it has been confirmed for real, but saw social media "insiders" claiming McDavid's camp is considering scaling back his participation in optional events to help promote the NHL.
Would like to see star players all come together and build that up as a legitimate threat against this league that lets former plugs decide how the game should be refed/disciplined. Let the NHL have a plugs only all-star game.

Yeah if Bettman and league owners value the 4th line plugs so much.. let them use the plugs to lead the NHL promotional campaigns. I wouldn't be spending my free time doing anything to help make the NHL owners more money when they do everything to impede him from being the best player he can be, interfering with his career.. he would have another 400 points if he were treated equally by the league.
No one is asking the refs to treat McDavid "special" and give him more calls than he deserves.. just not treat him "special" like they do now and IGNORE the infractions.
