That was me that you asked. We are fans and we can be negative; why can't a person call out Skinner for a .786 save percentage in this game so far, and an .877 on the first quarter of the season?
Those are abysmal numbers that even the worst backup goaltenders don't normally see.
Skinner's been awful this year behind a suspect D.
It's not just being negative... it's just factually true that he deserves some flack.

100% he deserves criticism, or as you put it "some flack" I dont think we need to bend over backwards to make up reasons why he isn't good.
His angles are off a lot, he overplays pucks leaving him out of position, once every couple games he lets in a goal that a 7 year old would save.
That seems like enough, do we need to pretend the other team hitting posts or scoring called back goals is worthy of criticism?
I don't mind criticizing, but when there is ZERO positive comments I start to wonder if some people actually like watching hockey or if they just spend most of the game angry while missing all of the good, fun things that happen.

He's also the worst goalie in the history of the playoffs! lol and they score again..I actually think it's a bit odd how often Skinner gets defended in this market. Mostly by media talking heads though.
On the plus side he is probably paid about appropriately
