TEXTBOOK hack to the skates trip.. TWO (2) refs on the ice.. in FULL view.. And no penalty on the play.. they saw it.. just refused to call it..

NHL refs should start being fined $5,000 (or better yet, suspended a game) for each time they refuse to call the rule book... and continued incompetence gets them demoted .. and then eventually fired.. go ref beer league.. excellence is demanded of the players.. so should the refereeing.. NHL treats them like they're school children.. "oh its such a tough job".. "hey you can't expect them to get it right every time" .. "don't worry, the ref's incompetence eventually balances out for both sides over a season.." .. most inconsistent officiating of any major pro sport.. clown show..
