I always think that maybe fans are a little too fast to criticize 97 & 29 on the PP. I think after everything we've seen the last few years, I think they've earned some benefit of the doubt. Will they sometimes try things that don't work? Absolutely. But they've been NHL record-level good at this the last couple years, so maybe, just maybe we should trust that they know what they're doing?

Drai has been slow on the PP IMO. Can see him struggling to make decisions. Nuge and Hyman are the main guys really underperforming though.

Or does he look slow because he's rushed due to the PK basically ignoring 93 and 18? Its pretty much a 3 on 4 most of the time.

Possible just not having options is part of it. Still lots of unforced errors.
I really don’t feel like Hyman and Nuge are indispensable on the PP. 90% of what happens runs through McDrai. Hope if this keeps up Knob lets some other guys get a shot on the first unit. Hyman might have used up his luck for a while on a 50 goal season. Nuge, not sure what happened to him. He was a great shooting threat on the PP a couple years ago.

I'd really like to see Skinner on the RNH spot - loves to shoot - and Perry in for Hyman. I think it would create a whole new set of problems for PK's - worst case have it as an option so teams don't know exactly what they are going to be dealing with.

I wouldnt mind seeing this change as well.
On one hand this unit has been one of the best of all time, so they get some grace from me.
On the other, rotating some guys in can have some benefits. If they do pot a couple it can help with confidence for the depth guys.
It also helps balance out ice time a little. RNH is important in certain defensive matchups. At some point, Hyman has and will get run down from the abuse he takes in front of the net. Saving those two some energy and/or bruises could be helpful come playoff time.
