I am hoping last game was a turning point and the Oilers take over.
Oettinger has been very good, he was very good last game but they got 4 by him.
The PP only got 1 look but it look dangerous again, had lots of chances and if not for the luck of the goalie stick, it would have scored.
Leon scored. He hadn't scored yet. His finger was bothering him thanks to a puck in game 7. Oettinger has made a bunch of big saves off him. He got the puck in the slot, Oettinger was there, unscreened and Leon blew it by him.
The team defense locked it down again. Tough start last game but after about 3/4 of the first was gone, other than a couple of big saves, the Oilers didn't give up much especially in the 3rd.
PK is unreal and now it scored a goal on the Stars so that will be in their heads.
Nurse played how he needs to play. Aggressive, physical, used his feet, got into the play. When he does that, he's a very good dman. He teammates made a point multiple times to rally behind him after last game. I am sure they were fired up for him. I am sure the coaches were reinforcing it to him. That could be big for the Oilers.
I hope McD and Leon smell blood. THose guys badly want to win. Against the Avs, they admitted, they weren't good enough. They screwed up against Vegas but this team is better than they were last year. You are 2 wins away, those 2 are capable of winning games on their own. I wonder if we see those 2 ramp it up. McD especially. McD has been pretty good this playoffs but not McD level great yet. I could see him going off tonight.
