Their last game was the second game of a back to back in New York. 3rd game in 4 nights, 4th game in 6 night. Divisional game. Seattle is missing a few key guys. The Oilers have to be motivated and take advantage. They don't need to blow them out, just win the game in regulation.

In the past that'd be a recipe for a sure-fire loss, with the opposition goalie playing like vintage Hasek.
Let's see this team show that they've changed.

Ah they have vintage Hasek now. I wonder if the Oilers start Skinner from here to the all-star break.

All the teams lately have seemed to have a Vintage Hasek. The talking heads on the radio were talking about how the Oilers were winning tight games against a few of the teams the last week and acting like it's because we decided to just grind out wins, but in several one goal games, the Oilers have outshot the other team by a massive margin, and goaltending (or execution) was the difference maker in keeping it from being a blowout.
I was laughing the other day after the Toronto game because they were talking about it as if McDavid didn't have 5 points because he was just so focused on defence and playing a 200-ft game...but he had five shots on goal, several golden chances, and gave multiple people set-ups that they just failed to convert He COULD have had five points against the Leafs. And against the Red Wings where he had seven shots. And against the Habs where he only had one shot, but his linemates had 12 (Nugent-Hopkins 8 and Hyman 4). If not for Vintage Haseks, all those games are lopsided wins.
